Dear Fellow Citizens,
Happy Buddha Jayanti, greetings of Mangal Maitri!

We are extremely happy to inform you that, under the leadership of Pujya Bhikkhu Sangha, for the first time in India’s history, a grand “Chaityabhoomi Deepotsav” will be celebrated on the seashore with the lighting of one lakh lamps.

On the occasion of Vaishakh Purnima, one thousand Buddhist monks and one lakh followers will participate in this lamp-lighting ceremony at midnight.

This is not just a festival of lamps, but a sacred moment to illuminate the teachings of Buddha. On this day, people from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Bhutan, Japan, China, Tibet and several European countries will join. At exactly 12:00 midnight on Buddha Jayanti, they will light lamps and spread the message of peace, compassion, and humanity.

For the first time in India’s history, under the guidance of Pujya Bhikkhu Sangha and inspired by Pujya Bhante Vidyadhar Bodhi Maharaj, a pledge has been taken to light one lakh lamps.

Let us each light a lamp for ourselves, our family, and society, and together create history by illuminating the seashore with millions of lights.

Come, be a part of this great initiative. Bring one lamp and donate one rupee, and contribute with body, mind, and wealth. Your participation will make this Dhamma festival truly meaningful.

May all beings be happy!
